(Updated!-I originally posted this on Console Caliber-Hope its okay(Known as Mastercodec there!)

I decided to post a thread with my solutions
to problems i know of or have happened to me:eek:hmy:

1.tried downgrading to official firmware but wave freezes!!

solution:Try it again but this time once Pandora has loaded plug in your PSP charger this sually helps!

2.used pandora to downgrade/update to 371M33 CFW but wave/screen freezes>:confused1:

solution: one thing you must always do when installing 371M33 CFW with Pandora and majority of CUSTOM FIRMWARES! with Pandora before anything
else put normal battery in PSP or PSP charger one or the other,

and turn PSP on but hold down R+ trigger(button)on PSP you should get an recovery mode menu scroll down to advanced and select Format Flash1+reset settings(this quick and easily done!)then PSP will restart and no problems

(plz note make sure no UMD is in as with all resets UMD AUTO mode is on
so it will automatically boot to UMD if it is present)

3.Installed .PTF on PSP on OFW changed theme then accidently formated memory stick, now i cant change my theme back to anything else

solution: go into theme settings and it should still say custom theme select that and press delete then go back on your self and select original theme
, then if original theme still dosent shows Restart PSP and everything should be fine
just make sure to Format Memory stick again just in case
now simply change your theme to what you want?:)

4.running homebrew on CFW and now me PSP has froze>:confused1:

solution:hold up the power button for 3 seconds and do this twice if needed and PSP should turn off then just turn it on, if not take battery back of and take out battery then put it back in and turn PSP on, everything should now be back to normal, word of advise dont use that certain homebrew again?

5.tried updating to 390M33 but i get an error! and it will not run/update?:confused1:

solution:check you have the right official 390 firmware/eboot.PBP and rename to 390.PBP and put it in 390M33 CFW UPDATE folder, and make sure you have the right one as sony usually update there firmware to someting like more recent such as 3.94 update and dosent say anything about it!, Damn you sony!,always use google to find the official firmware needed, and everything should run smoothly!happy.png

6.Tried downgrading/Updating to 371M33 with pandora but no screen?

solution:this is a problem with slims, although there are other pandora based programs around with slim screen support,if when you try this and power,wi-fi and memory stick Led's are on all is fine! just press x and wait until the PSP shutdown, no problem all is good:smile:
then just put Normal battery in or PSP charger and turn on the PSP

there you go no problems!

7.Attempted changing Flash0 theme on CFW but folders are missing on my PSP,then in my downloaded chosen flash0 theme?

solution: no need to worry some folders on the PSP are hidden by default, but when you copy your chosen flash0 theme over(Plz note always backup these files first from PSP) the ones you are mentioning that are showing when you have downloaded the flash0 theme will become hidden just as your
original ones on your PSP, then simply discconect flash0 by pressing x on toggle flash0 in recovery mode menu(will say usb disconnected) then press back to main menu then click exit, well done you now have a custom theme!

8.tried installing custom boot sound on CFW but i get no sound when i boot
my PSP?

solution:make sure you have the right file for your CFW as these differ from different firmwares, also if you download the 371M33 boot sounds they will
need changing/converting for your CFW, this can be done with certain software
app1an8.jpg

link! below
http://www.consolespot.net/forums/psp-development/17706-release-bootound-replacer-v5.html
select your firmware
then click browse to PRX
then click save PRX and copy to Module folder in(might be hidden)flash0

9:cant convert PS1 games to run on CFW on PSP?

solution: Download icetea program
IceTea%201_qjpreviewth.png

Download Link below!
http://sourceforge.net/projects/icetea/files/icetea/icetea1.3_win.zip/download
select select next to where it says PSX image
a window will pop up and select ps1 disc image by default is looks for .img
so change this to .iso which most common or .bin for file type search
then click save, save as whatever
then click lets go, done
now simply copy eboot.PBP(make sure this in an folder)
to PSP>GAME folder

-how to get ps1 disc image if you already own an ps1 game?
download Alcohol120% software

Download Link Below!
http://mirror6.free-downloads.net/Alcohol120_trial_1.9.8.7612.exe
(right click and select save target as and save!)

once installed
put ps1 disc in cd-rom
then run alcohol120% software
select image making wizard
then select cd-drive with ps1 disc in
then select datatype and select playstation
and click next until it ask where it wants you to save
save to c: drive then click next
once done you now have an .mds image file of
ps1 disc

now you need to convert this to an .iso
to do this you need to download ultraiso
uiso6s.gif

Download Link Below!
http://dw.ezbsys.net/uiso9_pe.exe
once download and installed
run ultraiso
hover cursor/mouse on the bar with the icons and scroll along
until on the certain icon it says convert
once selected
choose input directory look for your .mds
in c: drive
then click .iso option then click
select save directory
and click save
once done you can now use icetea program
to convert to eboot.PBP
to use on an PSP

10.when using the internet on PSP it says not enough memory
and i cannot load page/website?

solution: this is an easy one to solve!, press triangle button on PSP
then scroll to history and select delete all and refresh current page/website
no problems:smile:

just one more problem+solution

changed opening_plugin but PSP freezed and wont turn on

solution:take PSP battery out, then plug in PSP charger
then turn on PSP then hold R trigger(button)
then scroll down to advanced configuartion press x
then scroll to toggle flash0, then connect usb
and press x, now copy your original opening_plugin
and overwrite the current one one the PSP
hopefully you backed this up before hand!
now go back to PSP, scroll to toggle flash0
and press x,then the PSP will disconnect from
usb, then take usb cable out, then click back
then put PSP battery back in and take PSP
charger out then scroll down to exit and
press x,your PSP will now turn on and have
no problems!
