Yeah It did, minus some of it's dreadfully bad elements like terrible story pacing and character design and a lot of the environments looking exactly the same.


That being said I really do love it and it's sequel

There was another one inside a cardboard TV where the background was a LONG sheet running on rollers and Mario was actually controllable with something like Etch-a-Sketch knobs. The background was an actual print out of the first level.

Wait, IIRC the sheet was fixed and the TV was sliding in front of it.

Certainly doesn't look like it at first glance though. That mod has to be one of the best mods released yet, and the voice acting is definitely the best ever released. What impressed me most about it was the flag animations where they were being blown by the wind. If that's rendered in realtime I'm really wondering how they did it. If it's only an animation it's still a superb job. Even the Bethesda ones look worse than that.
