Valve's digital distribution service Steam continues to grow at a rapid pace as the company announces that the service has amassed more than 30 million accounts since its 2003 inception.
Valve has shared a few other nuggets of activity and sales data to herald this far-reaching milestone. Notably, user growth increased by 178 percent over the past yea while Steam sales rose by 200 percent, realizing a 100 percent year-over-year uptick in transactions.
Additionally, the underlying network infrastructure behind Steam now boasts connectivity rated at 400Gps, "enough bandwidth to ship a digitized version of the Oxford English Dictionary 92.6 times per second," according to the company.
