after you disabled NO-UMD, did you put a UMD in the drive? If not that will cause all your games to give the 80020148 error..

frickin for god's sake yes I HAVE A UMD IN THE DRIVE~!!!!! and have tryed to disable the umd theirs 3 things under advanced...... ive gone threw and tryed to singley disable each one and try loading and i have also tryed WITH OUT A UMD and get same error

BUT YES I HAVE A UMD IN THE DRIVE WELL TRYING TO RUN

the only thing i have in the recover menu reboot + R is

Configuration
run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP
ADVANCED ->
CPU Speed ->
Plugins ->
Resgistry hacks
exit

and in side advanced is
advanced configureatioin ->
Toggle USB flash0
Toggle USB flash1

then i go in to advanced configureation
inside here is

Plain modules un UMD/ISO
Excute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO
Use isofs driver also in UMD-inserted mode <--- Disabled = "use no-UMD"

right ???

lol dude calm down. you didn't say if you had a UMD in the drive previously, and 99% of the time that ends up being the problem.

that being said, the only other possibilities are that the isos are corrupt or something is wrong with your memory stick.

how could my memory stick be corrupt if it plays most all the other games no problem ???
lol and im not the 99% :) im the 1% that really has a issue

when i delete a file it deletes the memory stick is fine so dont even go their ;)

I don't mean to sound rude, but Use NO-UMD isn't inside Advanced menu or Advanced Configuration menu... It's in the Configuration menu.

Disable Use NO-UMD under the Configuration menu, then try running the game with the UMD you ALREADY have in the drive.

No-UMD should be in the Recovery menu - it's not something you should need to add in later...

I went from 3.10OE to 1.5 then back up to 3.30OE then 3.40OE, but it shouldn't matter - I wonder if the file you're using to flash isn't complete?

Try this website here. Everything you need and everything you'll ever need is on here. :biggrin:

the problem was actually that his flash1 was corrupted (OE setting data is stored on flash1), so it would crash when he entered the config menu.

resolved now though with the flash1 formatter - so I'll close this thread.
