Digital The Tour's Over: Rock Band DLC Ends April 2

It looks like there will be no more encores for Rock Band. Harmonix has announced that it will end the weekly rounds of DLC for its plastic instrument-based rhythm franchise next month.

For over five years, the developer has consistently released new music for Rock Band. This equals more than 4,000 songs, so you really have to hand it to Harmonix for keeping the band together for this long, so to speak.

Of course, you've still got a couple of weeks to enjoy some new tracks.

Im surprised they kept up this long. Now, the problem is, them keeping it up. Im sure EA will be wanting to drop it in favor of saving money somehow. Super weary of spending money on stuff like DLC songs that may be obsolete in a few years. :/

i'm not very intimate with how Rock Band does it, but isn't the dlc contained on xbox/psn server's?

They're dropping it because no one is actively playing the game anymore.
