Multi UFC Undisputed 2010 Requires Access Code To Play Online

THQ is joining EA in its crusade against used game sales, revealing that Xbox 360 and PS3 title UFC Undisputed 2010 will require input of a one-time use code to hop online and access the multiplayer content. That means if you purchase the title used or rent it, you'll have to pony up $5, the fee for an additional access code.

Last week EA announced plans to employ a similar strategy in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, an approach that it has dubbed "Online Pass." The methodology behind it is essentially the same, only that the cost of additional access codes from EA is a bit steeper, ringing in at $10 compared to THQ's $5.

<p>Truth that, now greedy shops such as game/gamestop won't be able to make such big profits as none of the 2nd hand games they sell go back to into the games industry, this is the most logical move and should of been implemented long ago.</p>

<p>i like to rent games to find out if online feature, makes the cost of new game worth it, i have been robbed of that open and honest demo, so i will not buy your games, i hope you can sell 12 of those drm passes to make up for your lost $60.00, i guess those companies big wigs will have to settle for the mercedes benz for now and wait a few more weeks for that gold plated lamborghini.....greed will bring down the empire.</p>
