Using the universal unbricker as a normal battery temporarily

Alright, it appears that as long as the system is on before putting it in, you can use the pandora's battery as a normal battery.
That is, put in the AC adapter, put in the battery, then disconnect the AC adapter.

Now if I remember correctly, you have to hit X to start installing the custom firmware, right?
So if for whatever reason the PSP is reset, if I don't hit anything, I should be ok, right?

** I meant "using the pandora battery, not universal unbricker.

Yes you can do that. If you reset the PSP it won't automatically begin the installation process until you hit X.
