How is the one you made yourself better than the ones that get internet releases?
This is an example of a September 08, SP3 XP. Look how much is stripped out and pre-edited:
Original Size: 595 mb
New Size: 176 mb (Difference of 419 mb)
(This is the Size of the ISO)

This is the English Only Edition.

This is a FULL Install. You CANNOT Upgrade from previous versions of Windows.
There is no validation required. This PASSES WGA.
I have included the CD-Key already in the install process. This means at no point will you have to enter it.
This has all windows updates through September 2008. This is has been tested in VMWare Numerous times with no errors.
This works 100% with Windows Update.

I have disabled and deleted the Classic Windows XP Install Screens with the info about XP and the blue Background.
You will just see a black background now and the install will look similar to 2000. This saves Space and gives more
info while installing.

The Minimum HD and RAM Requirements have been lifted. You can try and install this on whatever machine you like now.
High ISO Compression has been enabled to save space.

Vista on my laptop (Core2Duo forgot the model number @ 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM)

Because it is custom made. Some people need some of the features that have been stripped out.

I first used a version of Vista Ultimate that had been stripped down, but it was on my media PC and Media Center was one of the parts stripped out. That's when I bought Vista legitimately rather than rely on some dodgy altered version.

But his is on a netbook, not a special case. When I use a stripped down XP I like it all the way stripped down then you simply install your drivers back on and whatever else you need. I can never do the amount of customization those guys do, nLite can't edit certain parts of the Lite XP because it was hand done, without tools.

Anyway, I use XP mainly as I never really liked the feel of Vista. I know that's a stupid reason but what OS you use should be based on how comfortable you feel in it and out of every OS I've used, XP sits the best.

Shuttle SX48P2E
Intel Core2Duo E7200 Overclocked to 3.16GHz
4GB DDR2 PC6400
Geforce 8800GT

Sounds like a gaming rig to me.

Vista Home Premium came with my XPS m1530, and I've come to like it a lot. I suppose the people bashing Vista were the early Vista adopters and sensationalists. In some respects they were right, and a lot of the stuff in Vista seems half-assed. Windows 7 to the rescue (they finally include a wallpaper switcher)!

Vista.
It's my favorite version of Windows, as long as you tweak it a bit.
I don't like Windows 7 yet

Vista. It came on my system, and I don't have any complaints about it. Runs well, and I like how it uses the RAM to cache programs you usually use. Quick start up times too.
