I know a lot of people aren't very fond of Waluigi. After all, it's easy to see him as a knock-off of one of Nintendo's poorest characters. That said, I like the dude, which is why it's kind of a bummer that he won't be a playable fighter in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS.
In a Miiverse post, series director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Luigi's rival would once again reprise his role as an Assist Trophy in Smash Bros., which obviously means he won't be playable.
