hey DC..whats the difference between an r4ds, r4 sdhc or somethin and a m3 real?

and...erm...M3 DS Real(dual boot M3 Sakura V1.12+1 & iTouch firmware) + RAM/RUMBLE Expansion- whats this..sounds techy.. XD

how do i play online with the roms for my ds?or how do i setup the wi fi connection on the DS?and if i play online with the DS with Backups of the DS games will i get banned or something?lol XD sorry noob to the DS scene XD

and btw, ive been hearing the r4 is not all that great anymore..so, im thinking of getting an m3 but i have questions before getting one.

1. whats the difference between m3 ds real, m3 simply and m3 lite?

2. which one would you recommend?

R4 I think has a limit of 4GB and is outdated and if I'm not mistaken, no longer supported (not sure)

R4 SDHC supports large sandisks (bigger than 4GB) and is supported

M3 DS Real supports large sandisks too, is very compatible with games, because, unlike the r4, it does not patch the roms. And it comes with RAM cartridge for your slot2 which enables you to use opera browser.

(If I were you, I'd go with M3 dS real and use M3 Sakura firmware, it has great looks, and great compatibility, AND! if you are not satisfied, you can triple boot it with the original m3 real firmware and the itouch firmware)

Playing online with the games, you need a wireless connection that your DS can connect to, you also need a game that supports internet play.
after that, open the game, use it to configure the network, and then just start playing XD (note that some cartridges like r4 or m3 require you to activate certain options for wireless or download play to work)

And no, playing online with the roms is no problem because, for what I've seen, everytime you connect it generates some sort of unique number, so its like you have an original one.

M3 simply = R4
M3 Lite = Never tried it so can't tell
M3 Real = Grand daddy of all m3

me? Like I said I'd recommend a M3 real or a CycloDS (Yea, its expensive, but its one of the best out there)

maeirsvs, if you are buying a new flash cart, get one that can support both DSLite and DSi. Going forward, you might buy a new DSi ...

I recommend you buy Acekard 2i. It was the first flash cart that successfully cracked the DSi not long after the new DSi was released some months back. It is also much cheaper than CycloDS, SupercardDSone, M3 ... etc.

Acekard is also one of the cart in market that provide firmware update on a regular basis, without fail, so far. There is also an established community that churn out a variety of colourful skins for the Acekard system regularly, ensuring that you will not be bored by the same old skin you will see for the R4.

Acekard support both *.nds.sav and *.sav, so your old R4 save files will not have problem. If you like to play with cheats, you can choose between using cheat.dat, usrcheat.dat or cheat.xml. I tested the latest moonshell v2, it worked fine.

I have used R4 ( using fw v18, yasu menu and v1.21 for R4SDHC ), M3Simply, SupercardDSOne, TTDS and Acekard in my DS. Acekard is still by far the best in terms of fw support, skins, reliability, and speed.
