my d-pad and analog stick will casue actions on homebrews that i didnt do,on irshell3.7and n64 emu.any help or links to where i can find answears, appriecated.

First, try "Reset Default Settings" in the "System Settings" for your PSP.

If that does not work, try getting newer versions of your homebrew. (Example: iRShell 4.92)

If none of the stuff above works, then you probably have a hardware problem which needs to be repaired.

BTW, does your analog stick and D-Pad work everywhere else?

That is usually down to the small rubber that goes between the analogue unit and the motherboard, if none of jx233 actions work, might be worth taking off the face plate and cleaning around the rubber.

Might just be that the analogue unit is dead, i have had a few that have stuck on right or left, not easy playing socom like that :)

if its a hardware fault and its a psp phat (100x or 01g) you can get the ribbon for it.

if its a slim then i would advise you to fix it yourself and not send it to sony cause the chanves are they will send a psp back with f**king ta-88v3 :@

Changing the ribbon is quite a big repair if your new to opening a psp, better to rule out the rubber or the analogue first.

To access the ribbon you would need to remove the lcd housing as well  Damn right it you get it returned it will be a TA-088v3!

What happens if you send them a PSP-2000 with a TA-088 V3 motherboard already there? Will they return the PSP with a TA-090 motherboard?

No idea, but you can bet it will be a tav3 for sure, slowly but surely they will wipe out the prior mobo's.
