Source: Techtree.comIf you think there are a lot of things geeks cannot do, think again. Last week, mobile enthusiast Marcin-PRV posted his success story of running Windows 3.1 on Nokia N95 on FrazPC site. The Windows 3.1 ran over Symbian S60 version of DOSBox software. That is indeed geeky.
According to Marcin-PRV, it took him a day to get Windows 3.1 working on N95 over DOSBox. Though the OS ran sluggishly, it was rendered in correct resolution and color. Wait, the desktop OS on cell phone gig doesn't stop here.
Apparently, new images spotted on the web show Windows 98 running on Nokia N95 cell phone. No further details were available on how the OS was installed, but, we can assume that DOSBox has been used again.
Can we anticipate cellphones running desktop versions of Windows 7 anytime soon? Microsoft, better come out with Windows Mobile 7 before any geek tries to do that.
Thought this might interest some people. If it's real, then it's pretty impressive.
