I just loaded the game and there was an update to download (1.20). It's been maybe a week since I played it so not sure if it's old news.
It features difficulties (novice, skilled, elite) for time trial, speed lap, and zone events. Whatever medals you already had for such events are now elite. There's also new images for each medal based on difficulty so you can easily identify events to replay.
There's also an update to multiplayer which automatically starts a race once enough people are in (apparently due to complaints of hosts not starting the race). Apparently, this can still be paused if the host is waiting for someone in particular.
