Well, i registered a few days ago, just got round to posting this. I don't know if anyone will care or not but i moved from england to live in bulgaria and things haven't gone so well (Family etc.) so.. yeah.

Looks like a good forum with some decent people here, haven't come across many like this, i think i'll enjoy it here! hoorah!

It looks exciting to me though. Do you know any areas a tourist would go frequently there?

Also, is Bulgaria an EU country?

Bulgaria isn't in the EU fully yet, but it should be soon. As for popular tourist places the city in the center of bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo, is a very popular place, also most places along the black sea coast like burgas and varna are pretty popular too, never been there yet, but apparently its just all covered in hotels now... which is sad but i've never been so i don't know if its as bad as what all these dramatising brits are saying. Theres also quite an active ski resort at Bansko, which isn't too far from VT.

Ok. thanks. I expected them to be EU members, but oh well.

Also, is the capital Sofia worth visiting?

Hmm, not sure, i've only ever been once and it wasn't that good, it was REALLY foggy so i couldn't see much, but from what i did see it wasn't worth visiting.
