GOW:coo and 3.71 M33-4 problem

Hi everyone, I ran into a problem while i was trying to play my GOW
my version is 3.71 M33-4 and i have my kernal set at 3.71 with UMD normal
but it gives me the error "80020148" which is Unsupported PRX type | This error also seems to appear when you are running an iso with a fake mem. stick

i'm not sure what PRX type is so i have no idea how to solve the problem
help please

God of War requires 3.80 firmware, so update to either 3.80 M33 or 3.90 M33.

i got up to 3.80 m33-5 now
but i seem to have the same problem with patapon, and monster hunter 2, i get the error
my kernal is now set to 3.80 and i'm using M33 no UMD mode
is there something i'm doing wrong?

Switch to Sony NP9660 ISO mode. It's more compatible than the M33 driver.

well this solves the problem of patapon
but monster hunter 2 and GOW is still receving the same problem
is this because i NEED normal UMD mode for this?

No, God of War works fine here without a UMD. However I am running 3.90 M33. I don't know what else to suggest other than to try updating to it.

no UMD sony
and the problem still persists, any opinions?
once again error i'm getting "The game could not be started.(80020148)"
and i'm running .ISO GOW if that helps o.o

Can you try using a different memory stick? It's possible that God of War requires faster memory stick read speeds, and your memory stick can't keep up...

Lexar memory sticks in particular seem to have this issue. And of course fake memory sticks. You can find out if your memory stick fake or not by pressing triangle on the music icon and selecting Information. If it says MagicGate: Supported then you do not have a fake memory stick.

yep mines says MagicGate Supported, thank god
i have a 4GB mem stick if that helps

What brand is it determines alot fake or not fake it's only the speed that' matters. Anyways, I can play all of them fine with 3.80 M33-5. Maybe try like recovery mode > advanced options > format flash1 and reset settings?

Just redump the image from your own copy of the game and it should run fine.Try only using cwcheat if you are and have other plugins enabled,I say this because cwcheat.prx and wpchanger.prx clash for me in some games.
