The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has confirmed rumors that the next entry in Atlus' Persona series is headed to PlayStation 2. Yes, the PS2.
Due for a July 10 release in Japan, Persona 4 takes place deep within the countryside, with players solving murder mysteries. Visually, the game looks similar to Persona 3 and is said to offer around 60-70 hours of gameplay, along with the series' trademark of multiple endings and over 180 collectible Personas.
There's been no word on a North American release as of yet. However, if Persona 3: FES performs well sales-wise in the states, as it should, then it's almost a certainty that Atlus will bring Persona 4 stateside.
