CFW 3.90 bugs causing slow speeds?

Hey new here, so forgive me if the below question has already been answered.:blush:

I've heard that installing cfw 3.80 may result in noticeable slowdown in some games with specific Memory Stick brands.

Can someone responsibly tell me if these bugs affecting the MS loading speeds are finally eradicated in the latest CFW 3.90? If not, is there some sort of patch/fix for this matter?

I currently have a fat PSP CFW 3.71m33-4 and a 4GB Sony MS and I'm wondering whether I should update or not. I just don't want to have any issues running my ripped games.

In 3.80, Sony replaced the memory stick drivers with a much slower one, and it's still in 3.90 - however, Dark_AleX released a small application to load the 3.71 memory stick driver on 3.90 M33, here.
