Yesterday, a photo hit the tubes showing off downloadable PS2 titles on the PlayStation Store. Forum goer NiTiZ claimed it was taken by a friend at Sony London, but SCEA PR manager Patrick Seybold has since stepped up to rubbish these claims, simply calling the image a "mock-up" and issuing a statement saying that the company has no plans to digitally release PS2 titles.[blockquote2]I'm not sure where the image came from. At this point, we haven't made any announcements, and there are no plans for PS2 downloadable titles on PS3.[/blockquote2]Standard PR response. Eventually, yes, I'd say it's almost a given that we will see PS2 titles on PSN. Most likely won't be at this year's E3 though, taking Seybold's statement into account.
