3.52 M33-4 Not Recognised?

I'm trying to update my firmware to 4.01 M33, but when I attempt that it gets stuck on the second line "please wait..." so I attempted to install 3.71 M33, but alas no luck it says that I need firmware 3.52 M33-3 or higher. The problem is I DO have 3.52 M33-4 currently on the PSP. Has anyone else experienced this problem? What are some possible fixes?

Go to the Recovery Menu and change the GAME folder kernel to 3.52.

Wow, so simple, sorry I asked such a stupid question, I've been outta the PSP homebrew loop since before the pandora exsisted lol.
