4gb stick giving me some problems.

4.0GB SanDisk Ultra 2 15mb/s Magic Gate Memory Stick PRO Duo

I went out and bought this today.

My problem is, it doesn't seem to read any of the EBOOT files I put in the GAMES folder.
It also isn't reading any of the ISOs I put in the ISO folder at the root.

Do I have to format it or something?
Please tell me this thing will work.

Formatting it seemed to work.
It's reading now.

Maybe you scandisk is fake try to search at this forum for fake memory stick guide to give you an idea because for me I have bought 2 sony 4gig memory stick they are all fakes and the other one is already corrupted and the other is same problem as yours..
also try to check at your psp press triangle >information and if it is "magicgate: unknown" means it is fake! if "magicgate: supported" it is real.

Yeah you need to format a new memory stick whenever you buy it, can't just make the folders/copy folders off of your old memory stick into it.
