According to Jonathan Blow, developer of the recently released time-bending puzzler Braid, an estimated 55,000 copies of the game have been sold through Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade service.

Taking that figure into account, we can guesstimate that Braid has generated $825,000 in first week revenue. Of course, that's before Microsoft takes their cut -- but still, an impressive debut without a doubt.

In other interesting statistics, Blow says at least 18,141 purchasers have completed the game. Exactly 528 people have finished the Full Game Speed Run, with 238 of these folks besting the challenge time, meaning they have amassed all 200 achievement points.

It's nice to see Braid performing well. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing more from Blow in the future.
