First of all i begin by apollagise if i make some mistakes because i simple am not an english native speaker...

thanks to this forum i learned a lot...
however still having some doubts about the psp

Recently i bought a psp already with version 4.1 m33 to my kid.
Once I know that sometimes kids (and grown ups) brick their psp... before i give it to him i wanna make a backup (narm backup right?) so that if something happens i can revert the process to the actual state.

I have been reading a lot about instaling and downgrading psp's (making pandora baterys etc etc etc) but can anyone help me how to make a "backup" and "restore" of the console into/from a ms?

Is the process the same as to downgrade it???

Do I need all this steps???

Thanks!

When you brick, you wont be able to do anything at all. That's why you'll need a pandora's battery. But even if you don't have a pandora's battery, it's always good to have a backup of your nand (everything on your PSP).
Use Cory's nand tool to make a backup of your PSP's nand.

http://nds.cmamod.com/downloads/psp_downloads/

Run it.
Select "Dump from NAND" and then press X. Done, now you have a backup of your nand (it includes lflash, IPL and IDStorage)

It depends on the software you're using with the pandora's battery. (You'll need to put in a certain folder with a certain name)
