I did that with PS2 boxes. It was to keep the boxes in good condition if I ever wanted to sell them at a later date.

It's too hard to download game cases.

You can by them on ebay fairly cheap and then print out covers. I did that for my first 10 backups and then it because much easier to just keep them in a spindle.
