Best audio player for shared music?

I have about 50gb of music on the new rig, and I want to be able to access this from the HDTV upstairs, which is set up to the old rig. I've mapped a network drive (M: ) to the music library below (C:\Music) but the problem is that although files load quickly over my wifi connection, the main M: folder takes about 30 seconds to list all the artists (the library is organised artist\album\song). I'm looking for a media player that can read and organise all the files in M: so that they're easily accessible.

iTunes? Worked for me awhile ago but I only had about 20GBs of music.

I'll try it, I forgot iTunes had that sharing feature.

I would say Itunes if your old rig can handle it

EDIT: aaaand it's stopped working.
EDIT2: I disabled the "copy files to iTunes Library folder" option and chose to add M: to the library. Slow, but it'll work.
EDIT3: That also failed.
