Team M33 just keeps on pumping out the releases. Today they've released the sixth update to custom firmware 3.51 M33, now featuring use of the Sony NO-UMD driver.

Release Notes:

This update introduces a new no-umd more: the famous sony np9660.
The compatibility of this mode is not yet known, let's hope sony codes well :)
Remember to choose "Sony NP9660" in recovery to use this new mode


*Important Notes!*

- We've known that on some english-talk forums, there is someone called "McDanny"
telling that he is part of M33 Team. This note is to say that he is NOT from M33, and
just a faker wanting some attention. Please don't believe him, as you won't see any
mail, notice or anything outside our webpage (m-33.narod.ru) or pspx forum posts.

- To the attention of becus25 and test30: Please do not do any of your releases based
from our firmwares. You steal and change name but contribute a tiny 20-line plugin.
You are a shame for psp development!

Yeah it means every game should now work with NO-UMD.

i tried some games out, and found out that the loading time decreases by somewhat 20 SECONDS!!!! because it won't need to read the UMD. Nice job x3, M33!!!

It fixes No-UMD Mode for Innocent Life! Nice!

For games that worked with the old drivers, we should do load-time tests. See whether Sony's No-UMD support loads any faster or slower than the legacy OE or M33 drivers.

i don't think they ever sleep, rolling out updates by the day,or maybe half a day. gj m33. About time, someone stopped the useless custom firmware (3.51 le-a, 3.51 ie)

I was just wondering how u get the No-Umd thing to work cause Monster Hunter Portable is still not working from what iv tested, mayb iv been doing it wrong. pls help me ; ;

Did you select the np9660 driver for NO-UMD in recovery mode?

If that doesn't work the game is most likely a bad dump. Also try disabling all options in Advanced -> Advanced Configuration

MHP is reported working by a few people already.

Didn't they just reverse Dark-alexs firmware, and then just changed oe-a to m33?:glare:

eh, not exactly. Much more to it than that.

3.51 has a lot more security than 3.40. Yeah, they reversed 3.40 OE. But then had to take it from there. They patched all of 3.51's extra security and now patched Sony's NO-UMD driver.

I'd say they definitely have major skill, nearly as much as D_A. Sure, they could've written M33 from the ground up, but that would take much longer.

They aren't telling both of those guys to stop development. They just don't want them to rename the firmware. Is that too much to ask? May be hypocritical since they are renaming Sony's firmware after all, but hey, the guys want some credit for all the hard work they've done (that I've seen no one else do). In the end, you can't compare becus or Test30's work to M33's - that's what people have been doing - and I think they got ticked off.

i'm not yet updating from the last OE version from DA, if i install the 3.51 m33 - 6 does it includes all the previous updates like the wlan patch and even 3.51 m33-4, and -5???:confused1:
