Hi guys!

:sad:I need help about my friends PSP. Here are the Specs:

PSP Phat CFW 5.00 m33 (i think cause with I try the USB cable it auto connect)

Here's what happen, when the psp starts normal, all Keypads are not working except the volume (-) (+) but the weird thing is when I press the Home it mute and unmute the psp. When I turn it off (hard turn off) and run the recovery all the keypads are all working. including toggle USB. Means the keypad all keypads are work.

Observations:

Tun off the VSH - nothing happens (including screenshot and popsloader)
Run recovery - error message could not start
Change the memory stick - nothing happens
reformat the memory - still the same
reformat the flash - still same nothing happens
hold button switched on/off still noting happens

:crying:Please help. Guys I haven't try to format the psp cause I dont have pandora's battery.

Any suggestion.. :confused1:

Sorry for the double post! I'm currently reading the hellcats program and thread cause I dont want to brick this one because its not mine.. hehehehe I'll update this thread if the owner accepts my waiver.. I'm still confuse in using the hellcats due to 1.50 kernel.

OK here is my update.

I have searched and read all the forums about my recent problem and found out hellcats recovery.. now its time I test it  upon installing it using USB toggle at recovery menu. I have successfully installed the recovery folder. then I run it - - - - - - -

unfortunately the controllers didn't work also.. crap....

Now I dont what to do next.. i have scanned the psp for viruses but noting shows in NOD 32.

I was in selection of I agree and I agree, never show this again!

Please help...

i have this problem too... pls help... it happen when i was playing mana khemia..

If that is a PSX game you have, it could be corrupted. If it is a PSP UMD, it could a problem of the PSP.

ermm i kinda of fix it... i think is the select button have problem... is seem to be keep pressing on it...

u can refomat ur flash01 in recovery n dun able the vsh menu as select will open it...

i dunno is my select button spoilt or the psp code have problem

Whenever the next M33 revision is released, try the select button there, if it doesn't work, than that is a problem that your PSP has.

it wont be easy for the next m33 to release.. psp new firmware is hard to hack

It will take time, but it will be done.

Also, have you had the button problem on older custom firmwares? like on 3.90 M33-3 or 4.01 M33-2?

no... but i at at this firmware for very long already... n my select button seem to be working again... i dunno wad is wrong.. maybe the inside of my psp is screw :bored:

maybe the button bar that holds the selct key is damaged, or the pressure pad that is the select key is damaged. (that last line makes more sense if you are aware of the parts inside a psp) lol

it wont be easy for the next m33 to release.. psp new firmware is hard to hack

I think it isactually reasonably easy to hack the FW's (well for DA anyway & team m33) the motherboard revisions are the key security barrier. I would guess that team m33 are holding there cards close to their chests before releasing another M33. I hope anyway :)
