Help! My PSP keeps crashing and has trouble booting back up when i run my snes emu

I`ve recently installed firmware 3.1 OE-A and have been trying to run a snes emulator. The first time i ran it my psp switched off an i couldn't boot it back up. The power light came on for 10 secs then went off. I tried to start it again and again so i thought i bricked it. I left it for a while and it started ok. I tried to run the emulator again and it booted up ok this time but i had no rom`s for it so i returned to the home screen. I downloaded some roms tried again and it crashed and wouldn`t come back on like the first time. I have got it working now and would like to know what the problem is before i screw it up for good!

This is supossedly a common bug in the snes emu. Ive seen it numerous times , from numerous people re snes emu. If i remember correctly , its somthing the author is working on..

How come it would not boot back up? I got very worried as you can imagine! Then why would it work again after a while? I`m a bit bit nervous now when it comes to loading applications. Can loading an aplication such as an emulator brick your psp? Cheers very much for your help!

the only homebrew applications capable of bricking your psp are ones capable of accessing the flash which hardly any do...the only programs that would are either customizing ones or ones that would be made by malicious programmers.

as long as you get the applications from a reputable source such as the Exophase Download section
or the PSP Homebrew Database by Fanjita then you should be ok.
