Going from CFW back to OFW?

I know this is a crazy question on this forum, but how do I switch from CFW back to OFW, in a SAFE way?

The reason why, is because for the time being, I'm just going to use a UMD to play my Tekken games (Tekken 5 DR and Tekken 6), partly so I can watch ALL the ending movies in Tekken 5 DR, and especially since Tekken 6 will most likely require 6.00 firmware or above, and no one's made CFW that high yet.

Maybe when someone finally does make CFW for 6.00 or above, I'll start using CFW again. But if it takes a very long time, or if someone does make it and the Tekken 6 ISO can't run in No-UMD mode, then I'm just going to stick to UMDs.

Back to my question, how do I safely switch from CFW back to OFW?

Dont go updating! 5.50 Gen-D2 has the ability to run 6.00+ Games so dont upgrade! Just upgrade to 5.50 GEN-D2.
If youre on 5.00 M33 Just upgrade by the X-Gen Installer
Youll also need the GEN-D Update
And Finally The GEN-D2 Update
Update in the order of XGEN Installer -> GEN-D -> GEN-D2 (Only at gen-d2 can you play 6.00+ Games) Hope this helps, NEVER GO BACK TO OFW, Sin against the homebre community :p

Edit: Balls you'll have to google the files, links are damn censored

Well it aint that bad but youll sure miss everything cfw, like plugins homebrew. CFW is always developing so theres no need to use ofw as everything now is circumvented and better

Whoa, I didn't think that going back to OFW was such a taboo.

All right then, I'll use 5.50 GEN D-2!

It's not a taboo. If you really wanted to go back to OFW, you could use Hellcats Recovery Flasher to flash OFW onto the PSP then run a network update from there to get to 6.10 OFW

Well, that's it. If you've been paying attention to this thread, you've noticed that I wasn't able to upgrade my CFW past 4.01 M33-2 because it'd brick every time. So I restored the OFW and updated to 6.10, and I'm happy with it now.

Don't feel bad, I used to have the Twilight Hack on my Wii, but deleted it with a System Update because I just wanted a normal Wii again. Maybe sometime in the foreseeable future will I get back into Console Homebrew...
