i receive a PSP from our costumers..,her psp is jammed..,only the volume key is functioning. but when i go to recovery mode, the keypad or buttons are ok.,..so i decided to flash the psp using pandora and my MMS( DC 8 )...after flashing, the problem is still the same...,i try flash the psp again into OFW 5.00 and luckily, the PSP's keypad or buttons are ok..,then i try other methods as well., like try to format all the flash 0, 1, 2, 3 in nand options, but still no luck., even in IDstorage still no luck.

i try to flash the psp again into 5.50 GEN.,i decided myself to convert my DC 8 into XGEN pandora..and still the same problem

...is there any other options? but i have still other option also..,i don't know if it will work..,if i try to downgrade in OE CFW.,but my question now here is.,how to downgrade in OE?

You dont say what model psp it is, if it is a phat then d/g back to 1.50 and then use an Oe updater.

If it is slim you cannot go to a OE Fw.

I would use homebrew PSX checker and determine if buttons are okay.

the psp is slim..,please give me guide of the PSX checker, tia.

EDIT:

wait sorry..,if I'm in custom firmware.,i can't use homebrew because the keypad is not functioning..:( only in official firmware, the keypad works.

sinyor - if you use the search function you will find many methods to attempt to fix this:
1) Make a new mms
2) Restore a nand dump then reflash a full cfw with dc8
3) run keycleaner and fix any bad keys
4) Disable any plugins - if any
5) Install 5.03OFW and install chickHEN, then install 5.03GEN-D
6) Many more options i cant be asked to explain

btw - January39, i see your a lead mod now - congratulations :)

thank you for the help guys, i finally got the problem(well almost)..,i try to disable vsh menu in the recovery mode, and finally., keys are ok..,then i try the PSX checker to check the problem.,.and the key problems are "select","start" buttons because they are only remain in red circle..,i don't know if "home" button is the problem also because i observe that the home button is pressing automatically (trying to exit the homebrew yes or no).

and on the "hold" switch, it stays in red circle also, but the "select" button's red circle vanish.

any hardware solutions? tia. :)

EDIT:

here is the screenshot

select and start buttons are not functioning

id say its a mainly software - the psp not accepting cfw. happened alot recenlty. Try other cfw's and see if it fixes.
its not a hardware fault otherwise it be still be bad in ofw

i open the psp and it has done checked, the problem is hardware..,a small touch in home button and it's getting crazy..because of cfw the keys are malfunction when enabling vsh menu..then i try enable the vsh menu again and the keypads are ok with out the front casing of the psp.

woah - my bad lol

well if the keys work without the front case - just make sure to put on the from case carefully to make sure no keys get jammed

I think joysens can re-map the button configuration so perhaps you could then use the 'NOTE' button as your HOME button, if you know what i mean.

Might not be joysens thinking about it but there is an app out there that can do this, google it.
