I know they haven't made any for a while, but you should still be able to recognize a puzzle game when you see one. I wouldn't go so far as to say the review is wrong headed in anything from its conception to its conclusions, but this should be compared (in terms of inovation) to puzzle games, not strategy.

Wrong.

If anything this game should be put on the same shelf as the Puzzle Quest games. It's a RPG/Strategy hybrid, therefore it can very well be put in the "Strategy" genre, although not fully correct. Having played the HD version on my PS3 (demo) I really did like the game and I expect it to be offered to me in my Plus subscription on of these days xD
