Previously announced for the PC, Sierra Games has officially revealed that it is bringing World In Conflict to the Xbox 360. Developed by Sierra's in-house Swordfish Studios in conjunction with Massive Entertainment, World In Conflict is set to debut as a representation of the next-generation of strategy games.
The game will pit Cold War-era superpowers against once another with destructible 3D battlefields, impressive visuals, and a break from the age-old RTS formula that replaces traditional base-building with non-stop FPS-like combat, while still retaining the tactical element of the RTS genre.
Sierra reassures that this is not a lazy PC to console port and will include controls optimized specifically for the 360, as well as a retooled HUD (heads-up-display) that is more suited for a console experience.
