Downgrade 3.50, in a different way?

Just found this video clip from a Chinese gamer website. I think you guys might be interested in. Sorry for my English.

A game shop in Shenzhen, China claimed that they could softmod >3.10 PSPs on most of the Chinese game websites. A girl (identity unknown) went there and took the following video clip.

The guy who is working in that shop, kept on asking the girl to shoot the right side of the PSP, with the memory stick side unshown, until the process is finished.

Here is the link of the video:

If you watch the video, the guy removes the normal battery and puts something else into the battery compartment, boots the PSP, then removes whatever it was he stuck in there. He was VERY careful not to let the camera see the object he stuck in the battery compartment. It was almost certainly the "jigkick" battery people have been talking about. So now we know one more thing about it - once it's been booted, you can remove it safely (if you have the AC plugged in).

So I wouldn't say it's "soft-modded" since it requires special Sony hardware. You notice he went from official Sony 3.50 to official Sony 2.71. So his shop is jig-kicking to 2.71 official, THEN using the normal 2.71 downgrader.

Also I noticed that, the guy used L to boot up the psp, after he puting the object in the battery compartment

This supports what we know about the battery so far - memory stick with the jig-kick files and a special battery unit to boot the PSP into service mode. The video looks rather convincing to say the least.

Now if there was a way of actually seeing this in live footage to confirm without the person censoring it.

well apparently someone over at that Chinese site (CNGBA) is going to the shop to confirm. Hopefully we'll know more soon :)

of course there is, there's a lot of unknown ways around the world, we just know that customfirmware is our popular downgrader. Im sure there's plenty of other ways

You notice he went from official Sony 3.50 to official Sony 2.71.

I'm not sure if this is possible or if it was two separate clips, but one guy used a [jigkick] or a [pandoras bat (which i use btw)] to Depatch the firmware from 3.82 to 1.50... I'm pretty sure its not possible at this point in time... but tell me if im wrong...

=/
