PSP Firmware 3.70 Released

Well what do you know, only hours after the first PSP Slim and Lite custom firmware was unleashed, Sony has released firmware 3.70 for the PSP. It includes quite a number of interesting features, such as custom themes.

[blockquote2] * You can now set custom themes in Theme Settings.
* Support has been added for assigning buttons in Remote Play
* A scene search feature has been added under video
* Sequential playback is now supported under video
* Simultaneous playback of content under Music and Photo is now supported[/blockquote2]

Also interesting to note, but expected, is that this update is universal. It works on both the regular PSP and PSP Slim. As always, it is not recommended to upgrade if you value homebrew.

the update seems to come in for all the fat psps as well. gonna check it out in a bit.
 
I've heard it works on both the PSP Slim and PSP Phat.

Though I wouldn't recommend trying it on a Slim as there's no way to downgrade those yet, even with Pandora.

yep, gonna patch my psp so that I can get the update and check it out. of corse not gonna stay there since no homebrew sucks.

EDIT: Ok those new features are very nice. music playback will only follow to pictures and if you click anywhere else on the XMB it turns off. I really like the ability to seek through any point in the video. you can tell it an spacific time to jump to or look at clips setup on it and view jump to those. I have to say that this has potential to be good especially the video part. all that needs done is it to be made into homebrew. :) now back to M33.

BAD NEWS!! Looks like at first you cant use pandoras to go back to 1.50. more details in a bit. Never mind, small problem with my MS. got it fixed and back to 1.50
 
ugh! i downloaded the update but havnt applied it yet because well... its an official release. not custom firmware. im stuck at 3.52 with no way of getting my psp downgraded. when will they release a software downgrader!?

Yeah... there are already two themes made by Sony that are available. They are going to release a software to create themes later this month apparently.
 
Nope, it loads the theme files off the memory stick.
 
next on exophase:
in 24 hours: firmware 3.70 decrypted
in 48 hours: CFW 3.70 M33 released.

i wonder what team wildc*rd is going to do, i mean they still havent released 3.52* and there is already 3.70 out
 
btw, can any1 give me the UK(Europe) link for the 3.70 update?we will need that for 3.70 M33
