SEGA has announced plans to publish 2D fighter Bleach: Dark Souls in North America. Developed by Treasure of Ikaruga fame, the game will feature a number of enhancements over last year's release of Bleach: The Blade of Fate, including multiplayer games, all-new Bankai moves, 30 new Spirit Cards, and seven additional gameplay modes.

Boasting an unforgettable cast of characters voiced by the actors from VIZ Media's popular Bleach animated TV series, the game's story will take place between seasons one and two of the animated series.

Bleach: Dark Souls is scheduled to arrive stateside in Summer 2008.
