The fifth main installment in Konami's long-running Silent Hill horror franchise will make its eerie European debut in September on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the publisher announced today.
Now entitled Silent Hill 5 Homecoming, the game follows the story of Alex Shepherd, a man who decides to return to his hometown and investigate the mysterious disappearance of his brother. Featuring a brand-new soundtrack by series composer Akira Yamaoka, Homecoming promises visuals that bring the horror of Silent Hill alive as well as a revamped combat system that allows players to perform a wide range of attacks and evasion tactics.
There's been no "official" word on a release window for the North American version of the title, but expect it to hit around the same time as the Euro release.
