2K Games announced today it will publish Cryptic Studios' upcoming superhero-laden MMO Champions Online, which is in development for the Xbox 360 and PC.[blockquote2]"2K Games is excited to work with such a talented group as Cryptic Studios," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "Given their stellar pedigree and amazing grasp of the MMO genre, we are confident that Champions Online will deliver an innovative and exciting action MMO experience to gamers."[/blockquote2]Champions Online is scheduled for a 2009 debut and will be 2K's first-ever MMO offering upon release. Aside from the fact that it is based on the original Champions pen-and-paper RPG, little is known about the title thus far, but expect more details to hit next week during the annual E3 Media & Business Summit.
