Lite broken?

Right, I turned it on and a red light was on and the screen flashed white and then it turned off, so I thought it was a battery problem, I then charged it for a bit and while it was still charging turned it on again and the same thing still happens, any ideas of what's up?

Two possible issues i see there...
One you have a dud of a battery... when it goes white does the light remain red asif it needs more charge?

Number two, you got a faulty screen, what screen goes white?
Top or Bottom?

Both screens go white, it could well be the battery.

Have you ran it off only the charger?

Yeah. That way you can know if the battery is the problem or not.
