PSP BOO!!! My PSP is not working on USB mode!

When I connect my psp with a USB cable it keeps saying Connect USB
Can anyone help me?
The Sony Manual hardly helped.

Make sure your wire isn't broken and that your laptop (if it is a laptop) is plugged in to ensure it's outputting the full 5v it is supposed to so your psp can recognize that it's plugged in
if not, your psp's usb is likely fried?

I sometimes have problems with mine too, i dropped it once whilst the USB cable was still plugged in and now my USB port only works when the cable is in at a certain angle. Maybe try moving it around?

You said that the USB connector is likely fried.
How does it get fried?
I connected the PSP like 300 times a day after the CHICKHen was released.

My USB port is malfunctioning too. It connects fine but it charges only for random periods in between.
