For some reason, both versions of Borderlands 3 get updated whenever I play the Steam version. I own both the Steam and the Xbox One version, but haven't touched the console version since last year.

Steam recently changed the default privacy settings for all users. This may impact tracking. Ensure your profile has the correct settings by following the guide on our forums.

Probably since the achievement list is shared with the Windows version. I believe there's a setting in the PC Xbox app that picks up activity from non-Xbox games. So when you play on Steam, it detects that Borderlands 3 is being played and updates your activity on Xbox accordingly.
You may need to turn off the option below to prevent that from happening. I don't know for sure if that's the reason, but there's nothing on the site that would mix data from Steam and Xbox, so that is coming from them.
