Eagle-eyed fans have spotted a page on the official Killzone 3 website that strongly indicates a PSN beta for Guerrilla's upcoming PS3 shooter will soon be underway. Visitors are greeted with a non-functional PSN sign-in form at the moment. Hardly an unprecedented move, considering the private beta for Killzone 2 kicked off in a similar fashion, followed by availability of a demo to those that pre-ordered.

Chances are, a small selection of users will soon be invited into the first phase of beta testing[...]

I'm really not that interested for K3. I still want to play it, but it's not at the same level as hype as K2 was. Perhaps this has something to do with me shying away from consoles; not sure.

Most likely... I am still stoked for K3 even though I'm not half through K2. Depending on finances I might get this day one.

I skipped KZ2 but will be picking this one up. I gave it a go at E3 and it felt extremely polished. The controls were surprisingly responsive for a console FPS. KZ3 comes close to replicating that fluid PC experience on a controller. That alone made it a must-buy for me.

You serious? :|

The only game that felt PC-like to me so far was UT3

Yup, they greatly improved on the controls over KZ2. Never tried UT3 on a console.

Good news then. KZ2 controls aren't bad at all.

As far as UT3 is concerned on consoles, I think it's great. I remember one match I entered halfway through with a condition of first to 40 frags win. The first place when when I entered had 20 frags, I blazes through everyone and reached 40 frags easily. The guy who was in first ended up in second with 27 frags.

I didn't even notice any difference from keyboard/mouse to controller on that game (and all others) it just feel like the same thing.

Loved KZ2, but never really played it too much (FPS' have to try really hard to keep me interested) beat the story and played a little online. This will be a purchase, hopefully not one I will regret.

KZ2 was a good game though it took me some time to get used to the controls but that may be because I'm not too good :)

I was never a fan of Killzone on the PS3's controller and thus avoided both the first and second title. After playing Killzone 3 at E3 though I know this is a title I will be picking up for my PS3. It just worked, not sure why, but it just worked for me (I hate shooters and the PS3 controller)
