When the Wii U was first unveiled, I'm certain there were plenty of people who immediately thought about how cool it would be if Nintendo released a Metroid game akin to the Prime titles where we could see through Samus Aran's visor right from GamePad's touchscreen. I know I certainly thought that, and even now I hope Nintendo announces a new first-person Metroid game following the Wii U's launch.
Speaking to IGN, Nintendo veteran Shigeru Miyamoto expressed interest in the Metroid franchise getting new life on the Wii U.
