PS3 New PS3 Model Drops Today

Sony's latest hardware revision of the PlayStation 3 officially launches today. If you're in the market for another console (or an updated version of a console you already own), you'll now be able to snag yours at retailers.

As previously revealed, the new PlayStation 3 comes in two models: 250GB for $269.99 and 500GB for $299.99. But the model that Sony is currently advertising is the 250GB, as there is an Uncharted 3: Game of the Year Edition Bundle available.

Wasn't the PS3 slim selling for $249... why the price hike on the smaller hdd model? :S
Also, I don't like the design of this model. It looks cheap. Specifically the top drive tray thing.

I used to hate this model, but I think it looks kinda nice now. As for the price, yeah, it's a bit weird.
