Gaming Nintendo: No E3 Conference, Small Events Will Take Place Instead

Nintendo has revealed that it has no intention of hitting the grand E3 stage with a massive press conference. Instead, the company will focus on its lineup of games slated for North America and hold several smaller events at the show in Los Angeles.

"First, we decided not to host a large-scale presentation targeted at everyone in the international audience where we announce new information as we did in the past," stated a financial briefing from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata.

I guess all the buzz generated from the new consoles will overshadow anything they announce, so it makes sense.

Still disappointing, though, Nintendo's conferences are usually entertaining.
