Early access to the public beta of Resistance 3, Insomniac's PS3 exclusive FPS franchise, will kick off on August 4. It'll feature two maps across two of the game's five muliplayer modes. Beyond that, players can level up their character, buy and upgrade weapons and abilities, customize loadouts and unlock new character skins.
