Blizzard's massive MMORPG that needs no introduction continues to grow, having announced today that an excess of 12 million subscribers have entered the fray. While that's a nice bump from the 11.5 million reported previously, it's taken quite some time to reach this point -- nearly 2 years, to be exact.
One could attribute the sluggish rise in subscribers due to China's strict policies, which forced Blizzard to momentarily shut down operations in the territory to comply.
