Battery Problem

My friend's phat PSP with official firmware, he said that his battery never charges. He said he plugged it in the PSP for like 4 hours, the orange light is on, but when he turn it on, it says 0%. Any idea what the problem is? Should he buy a new battery?

Sounds like the battery is dying. Does it still work for awhile even though it says 0%?

No, he said he needs to use the charger. So I guess he need a new battery?

Yeah I'd say so. Probably just worn out... after so many charges the battery won't charge anymore.
