Backpack europe 2011.

A friend and i have decided that we were going to backpack europe this summer. Lucky for me this community expands to every corner of this planet ( yes, i know, the earth is round and does not have corners ) and i was wondering if you locals knew if there were any places that are a MUST see.

We are going to do our best to avoid hotels, we plan to either crash at hostels or even pitch a tent. If anyone has any backpacking experience, some tips for gear that i should bring would be very helpful. Below is what i have purchased so far.

I'd say the Giant's Causeway would be worth a visit if you somehow found yourself in god-forsaken Northern Ireland. Honestly though, I've never been outside the British Isles so I wouldn't know from first hand experience many places to go to in Europe. Never went backpacking either.

The views of the cliffs in Dorset are actually quite awesome.

Also Stonehenge is quite a popular one for backpacking.
