A few I can think of..

1984 and then Brave New World (or read them concurrently)
Screwtape Letters
Grendel (it takes beowulf's awesome story and makes it not boring)
Lone Survivor + Robert's Ridge
Catcher in the Rye

? for you TP. are you from 1337noobs?

also. my faves are

harry potter(got me into reading)
hitchhikers guide(funniest ever)
Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan
Demonata by Darren Shan
Pendragon by D.J. MacHale

all are series

Moose

Meta Moose
The Nazis by Laurence Rees
Auschwitz by Laurence Rees
A Writer at War by Vasily Grossman
LoTR

Those are a couple of the books I have read in the past year or two. I recommend the first two to anyone who is interested in the Second World War, and more so the third.

Abe Froeman

Gamer Dad
Enforcer Team
Watchmen is a must read for everyone here.

I also read a lot of Carlos Castaneda back in the day. Most of the reading I do now is political in nature.

No.
After 5 or so, CdF starts to go down, and Demonata is just horrible.

Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book

1984 is up there too

i'm currently reading brave new world, and a farewell to arms

also on my favorites is to kill a mockingbird

i'm looking in to getting lolita (the last 2 discount book stores i have gone to, didn't have it and gave me weird looks when i asked lol) when i can find a copy, and i also want to read slaughterhouse five

i can't stand this new school trash
twilight for example kills me, i read it at the urging of some friends, needless to say i couldn't bring myself to complete the series

ann rice owns that shit anyday

although i will say its better than harry potter, i can't even bring myself to finish a harry potter book, they just bore me.

I used to really like Cirque Du Freak. Then I noticed how lame it was and stopped reading it.

My faves include: Fahrenheit 451, A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Yea we all wondered where you went after you left on that trip. It's gone now, most of the people are still around, we've thought about making a little forum but it has never really materialized.
