Hardware issue is mostly likely now.

Go ask you're friend how he'd erased flash0 (Format or Delete).

There is a chance that he formatted flash0 into FAT32 or other that aren't compatible with what the PSP needs.
Then when formatting the flash0 again, the partition is most likely messed up.

If I were him I'd exchange a new PSP when if warrenty isn't due.


EDIT:Wait.... My point of view just pointed out to a hardware issue... >_>

Stupidity to the MAX
someone should make a homebrew for the pandora battery to allow access to flash0,1,2,3 so you can reformat flash0 w/ the comp as FAT format. I still suspect that he's doing something wrong though. If his warranty is still valid then he should return it.
