In a press release issued today, Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising is heading to the Xbox 360 and PS3, marking the first time any entry in the series has been released on multiple platforms at launch.

First revealed at Microsoft's E3 presser, the title will star cyborg-ninja Raiden. No further details were revealed, although Hideo Kojima himself alluded to the fact that Solid Snake may not make an appearance. That presumably means this title will take place after the events of MGS4, but we'll see.

<p>I guess that leaves no more "Good" exclusives for Playstation, what ever happened to the "360 can't handle MGS4" to now going lets release the new MG game on both platforms at launch.</p>
<p>It looks like 360 can handle the graphical output of MGS4, I'm also guess just before the launch of this game, MGS4 will be ported to the 360 as well.</p>

<p>I think what he means is that this game will be more advanced than MGS4 in terms of both graphics and functionality; If this game can be run on the 360, then why shouldn't the 360 be able to run MGS4?</p>

<p>dude this is not mgs4, and "The 360 can't handle mgs4" is true and there is proof to back it up. they are using a new engine for this game which doesn't require a lot of space or power.and FYI, the ps3 has WAY more AAA exclusives than u think, besides this game isn't "Tactical Stealth Shooter Espionage", its "Lightening Bolt Action", its a new MG experience, it looks like the xbox users will never have the chance to play a real metal gear game. and this game is also coming to the PS3 and PC, just in case if u didn't know</p>
